During period 7, we read the short story “Knife” from out Sightlines collection. We answered comprehension questions in class. For homework, I want the students to answer questions based on the following usage of figurative language in the story:
1) Identify the metaphor found on page 5
2) Describe the figurative language found in the second full paragraph of page 7
3) Find the idiom in the second last paragraph of page 7
4) Find the simile in the second last paragraph of page 8
5) Find 2 examples of alliteration on page 12
